Spent Xmas at a hotel with a surprising countryside feel, despite being close to the city. Enjoyed a spacious room with big beds and a comfortable bathroom. the included breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of Chinese and Western foods. Location was good for exploring the area and taxis were readily available.
Finding the hotel was difficult as the signage is only in Chinese. the hotel gym and swimming pool looked inviting, but didn't get a chance to try them.

The swimming pool was also a nice perk, especially considering that it's often hard to find a hotel with a pool in this area. The location of the hotel made it difficult to get to the city center, since there didn't seem to be any nearby public transportation options like buses or trains. We had to rely on taxis, which added up quickly.
